Income Report for June 2020
Welcome to my income report for June 2020. I will keep things relatively short this month, but if there’s anything you’d like to know just ask in the comments.
Why do I publish these reports on a mental health blog? Because I’ve always been interested in passive income and behind the scenes income reports, and I think everyone else should be too, especially if you have social anxiety.
And if you’re not interested in this, know that I’ll be back to regularly scheduled programming next week.

I signed up for Stupid Simple SEO at the end of this month! The course is now open all year round, so you don’t have to wait for the fall if you want to take it. If you notice that I added some new stats to this income report, that is why.
June BLOG INCOME REPORT:
Advertising
Mediavine: $271.35 ($172.68)
I found an article on the Mediavine blog that said increasing the font size on your website and also adding more line breaks helps to increase earnings (because readers have to scroll through more of your post to get to the bottom, and therefore they see more ads). When I did this, my RPM immediately went up.
Pageview RPM: $11.14 ($7.34)
Affiliates
Amazon OVERALL: $38.64 ($30.56)
Note: I’m reporting everything in US Dollars.
Amazon US: $23.69 ($24.00)
Amazon CANADA: $10.27 ($1.49)
Amazon UK: $4.68 ($5.07)
Betterhelp: $450 ($0)
Note that Betterhelp changed their payout amount this month. Just a good reason to never depend on a large amount of your income coming from one affiliate!
ShareASale: $0
Awin: $5.65 ($0)
I’m using Etsy through Awin. An interesting note – I have a post about “driving anxiety” and I’ve linked to a hypnosis download for driving anxiety. In June, I sold four of those downloads. Maybe a good product idea? Or maybe I should add more hypnosis downloads to other posts with specific anxiety problems?
Clickbank: $0
Products
Products overall: $177 ($239)
Social Anxiety Masterclass: 2 sold (4 sold)
Art Therapy-Inspired Coloring Bundle: 0 sold (0 sold)
CBT + Mindfulness Workbook Tripwire: 9 sold (7 sold)
Social Skills Workbook for Social Anxiety: 0 sold (3 sold)
My goal is to create a complementary product for the Social Skills workbook ( a Self Confidence Journal) and then combine them together as a new tripwire product for my social skills/self-confidence opt-ins.
Total income: $942.64 ($442.24)
Wow, can I get any closer to $1000 and still not get there? I’m hoping that at least I can maintain this level of income going forward.
Monthly expenses:
Email (Convertkit): $79
: $13.60 (use and discount code KSDISC to save 20%)
Teachable: $39
Canva: $12.82
Tailwind: $14.99
WordPress Support from iMark Interactive: $27
(Grayson Bell saved me this month! I accidentally broke my website trying to use Cloudflare through Siteground. He had it back up and running in no time).
Shortpixel: $9.99
(I paid for this plugin to smush the image sizes on my website as per Stupid Simple SEO recommendations)
Total expenses: $196.40 ($156.41)
Net blog income: $746.24 ($285.83)
Thoughts about this month’s income report:
This was the kind of month I’ve been waiting for! Most things came into alignment and so I had money coming in from ads, affiliates, and products. It’s quite encouraging that I was able to make nearly $1000 with less than 25,000 sessions for the month.
What does that mean… well if you do the math… if only I could quadruple my traffic, then I would be making a full-time income from this website.
The good news is that is not just a pipe dream. It’s totally possible. I’m confident that it can happen.
Goals for July:
I still want to create that new product I’ve been talking about. I want to work on Stupid Simple SEO. I want to get my traffic up. But… it’s summer, kids are off, we have a cabin booked for a week. It’s coronavirus time. And on and on. I’ll be happy to just survive July.
